Pregnancy Discrimination

On June 26, 2015, Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo signed into law legislation (S.B. 276) that prohibits employers from discriminating against, and failing to provide reasonable accommodation for, employees due to pregnancy or medical conditions related to pregnancy or childbirth.

The law went into effect upon signing.
